Our Involvement
Our association was involved in several community projects which includes trainings, partnership with established organizations in helping typhoon victims by way of monetary donations as well as granting scholarship to qualified students at Northern Marianas College (NMC) to stay and work in CNMI.

Relation
NMIA has partnered with NMTECH is sponsoring a scholarship grant to selected students on February 20, 2026 with a total amount of $1,000.
NMIA is eyeing to donate $2,000 to the victims of Super Typhoon Sinlaku in July 2026 in partnership with American Red Cross and Salvation Army.
The association continue to adopt the bus stop in San Vicente which started on April 1, 2023 up to the present.

NMIA hosted "Insurance Awareness Event on March 21, 2025 at Saipan World Resort-Royal Taga Ballroom.
The association in partnership with Office of the Insurance Commissioner Office joined the "Insurance Consumer Assistance Day" on June 12, 2026 at Crowne Plaza Saipan to help policyholders on their concerns on policy conditions and claims in light of Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
Legislation &
Programs
Member companies of the organization are in communications with CNMI Legislature and the Department of Commerce in cases where the insurance industry and insuring public are affected. This includes House bills and Senate that affects the insurance industry.

the Northern Marianas.
Ratings &
Forms
The rating and forms are currently working with CNMI OIC Remy Mafnas and Insurance Administrator Maryann Arriola on Auto tariff adjustment on Automobile in light of increasing shipping cost and repairs. The adjustment of 10% on Workers Compensation took effect on June 9, 2025 upon approval by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner-Department of Commerce.

Membership
NMIA currently has ten (10) member insurance companies and agents who represents almost ninety (90%) of the market share on Property and Casualty Lines.
We are open to accepting memberships which may include not only insurance companies and agencies, but also brokers and adjusters as associate members.
